- From 1st August 2015 Alcatraz implemented a new policy whereby they now require ALL Passenger names on EACH booking. This includes children from 5-17 years of age. Please ensure you offer us this information. If your name has not been listed on the booking, you will not gain entry!
- You will need to bring a valid photo ID for EACH passenger on the Alcatraz booking. Photo ID will be checked of all adult guests, 18 years of age or older. The names on the photo IDs must match the names on the booking.
- During JUNE, JULY and AUGUST the availability for this tour is very limited so please book early.
- The date you select when booking your ticket is the date your visit to Alcatraz will be reserved.
- Should you wish to start your bus part earlier, you are able to redeem the bus part of your Tour up to approximately 3 days prior to your Alcatraz trip. (Please ensure though that the date of your booking displays the date for your Alcatraz experience, as above).

- All tickets for our Hop-on Hop-off Loops are valid for 72 hours.
- Vouchers must be redeemed with City Sightseeing at 1331 Columbus Avenue (between Beach Street & North Point Street).
- Alcatraz tickets must be picked up between 8am and 10am on the day of the tour. You will receive the exact time of departure for your Alcatraz cruise upon picking up the tickets.
- The Night Loop - Daily departures at 7pm-7:30pm (depending on the season).
This ticket includes the 72hrs All 4 Loops Hop-on Hop-off Ticket as well as your Alcatraz Ticket.
The Alcatraz Cruise departure will be provided to you upon redeeming your voucher(s).

Upon booking your Alcatraz ticket requests are held by our supplier. Alcatraz issue tickets at their sole discretion. In the unlikely event they are unable to issue tickets for the selected date, an alternative date or refund will be offered.

Collecting your Alcatraz Tickets:
You MUST redeem your voucher(s) for your Alcatraz tickets from the City Sightseeing Office on the morning of your tour date between 8am and 10am. Failure to do so will result in disappointment. They will then let you know what time your tour will be.
Please Note: At the Alcatraz Cruises Departure Point (Pier 33) you will require your tickets. Our vouchers will not be accepted here.
The 72hrs All 4 Loops Hop-on Hop-off includes: Official City Tour, Parks & Beach Loop, Sausalito Loop and Night Tour.
Ticket Validity: 72 hours.
Duration: Parks & Beach Tour and Sausalito Loop take approx. 1 hour. Official City Tour takes approx. 2.5 hours. Night Tour takes approx. 2 hours.

Alcatraz is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Tickets including Alcatraz are 100% non-refundable once booked.
Collecting your Bus Tour Tickets: All tickets for the bus tours can be picked up at the City Sightseeing Office. The bus portion of this attraction can be used at your leisure (within any 72 hour period). The City Sightseeing Office is at 1331 Columbus Avenue (between Beach St. & North Point St.), San Francisco, CA 94133.
Once vouchers have been redeemed for tickets, you are free to hop on and off the buses at any stop as often as you like for 72 hours.
* Visitors unable to make the climb around Alcatraz can use SEAT (Sustainable Easy Access Transport), an electric shuttle that transports visitors from the docks to the prison. There is a regular schedule each day. Families with small children and strollers CANNOT use SEAT. Seating is available on a first come first serve basis. The following areas are wheelchair accessible: Alcatraz Dock area, Prison Building Main Floor, all Bookstores, Museum Displays and the Island Theater.
Important: Average time spent on Alcatraz Island is approx. 3 hours. You can stay on Alcatraz Island as long as you wish, the ferry departs for San Francisco approx. every 30 minutes until 6:30pm.
When you’ve Booked: You’ll receive an initial confirmation from us immediately. We will then send your booking details to the supplier within 48 hours to request confirmation.
