The first stop on your tour is Cenote Chukum where you have the chance to go for a refreshing swim in the water or to relax and take in the natural beauty of this formerly sacred place.
Afterwards you will be served a buffet lunch with a variety of regional dishes at Mayaland Resort.
When you are finished with your meal, you will be accompanied by a fully certified and bilingual guide, who will show you around Chichen Itza. Enter the temple grounds through the resort’s private entrance, which will enable you to beat the queues! After your guided tour you will have enough time to explore the temple site at your own leisure.
When you return to the Mayaland Resort, you will experience the Mayan Planetarium where you will discover the history and culture of the ancient Mayan's. If you wish to relax instead, you may enjoy all of the amenities Mayaland Resort has to offer.
Afterwards you will enjoy the Light & Sound Show, which brings the archaeological elements of the monuments to life. This multi-sensory spectacle might be your most exciting history lesson of all times!
IMPORTANT: Admission fee into the archaeological site is NOT included, and will be payable upon entrance. This is governed by the local municipality and our Tour providers have no control over this. The amount is usually approximately $481 Pesos which is only around £20 per person.

Please note that during Summer time (usually from beginning of April until the end of October) the clocks changes and the schedule will be amended by 1 hour: Departure and return time will be around 1 hour earlier.

Pick-ups times vary further to the two different Time Zones. Pick-ups start from approx. 9am during Summer (around April-October) and 10am during Winter times. Your exact pick-up time depends on your hotel location also. You will obtain the details whilst in resort. Return to your hotel will be at approx. 11pm.
Important: Your return to your hotel depends on the season and the start time of the Light and Sound Show. During Spring and Summer the show starts at 8pm and during Autumn and Winter the show starts at 7pm.
Please note: In case the show gets cancelled in advance due to inclement weather, you will be offered an alternative date. (If the show cancels during the performance due to inclement weather conditions no refunds can be offered as this is beyond anyone’s control.)
