City Sightseeing Potsdam - Hop on Hop off

Potsdam is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany as well as the capital of Brandenburg, one of Germany’s 16 states.

Discover the area around Brandenburger Strasse, with its numerous shops and stylish passages fashioned from old courtyards and, close by, the Dutch Quarter with its galleries and chic boutiques.

Take some time to admire Schloss Sanssouci, Friedrich the Great's amazing 18th-century palace, reminiscent of the grandeur of Versailles, which is surrounded by a magnificent 600-acre park. Walk through richly furnished chambers and step out onto flowery terraces and beautiful gardens. Visit the Raphael Room at The Orangery, which displays dozens of Raphael copies for art lovers.

Visit the beautiful Schloss Cecilienhof, which became world famous thanks to the signing of the Potsdam Agreement that took place in this palace.

Hop off at the Biosphärenhalle (Biosphere) and enjoy yourself in a world of tropical plants, birds, reptiles and sea creatures.

Kolonie Alexandrowka is a Russian Colony in the north of the city. The colony consists of thirteen Russian-style wooden houses built in 1826. Wander around the houses and enjoy the surrounding magnificent gardens.

Take a peek behind the scenes at Brandenburg Film Studios where you will be treated to shows featuring stuntmen, animal trainers and other skilled artists. See the film sets, props and learn all about the German film industry.

The 134 red brick houses in Holländisches Viertel (Dutch Quarter) make up the largest standing Dutch style monument outside the Netherlands. Admire the architecture and spend time taking in the unique atmosphere in the many boutiques, galleries, cafes and pubs. Night owls will discover a varied nightlife in the city with a choice of cocktail bars, funky beer gardens and restaurants.
