Of course Kos is famous for being the birthplace of Hippocrates (the father of medicine) but there is so much more and we intend to introduce you to as much as possible.

Enjoy an introduction to the ancient history, mythology and culture of the island and this won’t be possible without a visit to the world famous archeological site “Asklipion” which was home to the father of medicine – Hippocrates. Enjoy a unique and guided visit to this site to learn all that you need to know… and more. After this, take in a short visit to Kos Town which is simply a must do while holidaying on the island.

Stops during this full day discovery also include the picturesque villages of Zia, Kefalos and Antimachia, here explore the old windmills and traditional houses that define this part of the world.  

Between the villages of Pyli and Kardamena, glide along the mountain road that connects the two taking in the panoramic vistas that you will be confronted with and explore all of the hidden charms that you would otherwise miss out on during your stay.

Tour Availability: Wednesdays and Saturdays between May and October.

Meeting Time: Please be ready at least 15 mins before.

Meeting Point: Hotel pick up from selected hotels in the following resorts; Kefalos, Kardamena, Mastichari, Marmari, Tigaki, Lampi and Kos.

End Point: Back at hotel.

Duration: 7 hours approx.

Inclusions: Local English speaking guide, and return transport from specific hotels.

Exclusions: Food and drink, entrance fees (Asklepeion €8, windmill in Antimachia €1.50, traditional house in Antimachia €2) and any other services not mentioned above.
