Experience the fun of horse riding in the beautiful Cretan countryside - enjoy a lovely ride up in the mountain at Finikia with its beautiful scenery, come back to the ranch for a traditional lunch and be ready to be cowboys for the day.

We offer 2 programmes: Daytime or Early Evening rides.

Regardless of which ride you choose to take, we can promise you an amazing experience that you will never forget.  Enjoy the peace and quiet as you ride up the mountain through fragrant olive groves and take in the amazing views of nature all around and the distant capital of Heraklion.  When you reach the top it’s time for both you and your horse to take a little rest.  Here you’ll be served a refreshing drink (juice, wine or raki) and fresh fruit.  This is a brilliant opportunity to take some great photos of the surrounding countryside.

After the break it’s time to hit the trail again taking in the gorgeous scenery slowly making your way  back to the ranch for a delicious traditional lunch, or evening barbeque, depending on your chosen time.

Take a stroll around the ranch and bid your horse goodbye with a last hug before heading back to your hotel and a well-deserved rest at the end of this most memorable day.

Should you prefer not to ride on horseback, a wagon ride is available.

What to bring: Suitable footwear (trainers or similar), long trousers, sun cream, camera and money (should you wish to purchase photos taken during the ride).

Please note there is a minimum of 25 passengers required for this tour to operate. If minimum numbers are not reached you will be offer to move your reservation to an alternative day or a full refund in case of cancellation.

Ticket Information

Available daily except for Mondays between May and October.

Meeting Point: Pick ups are available from your hotel or a convenient centrally located meeting point.

You will need to call in resort to reconfirm your pick up point and time.

Meeting Time: Please be at meeting point at least 15min before departure time.

Inclusions: Return transportation and guided visit, BBQ lunch, glass of local wine and Raki.

Exclusions: Gratuities for the driver/guide, personal expenses, any services other than those mentioned.
