First of all this tour takes in the ruins of Pompeii. Pompeii holds an intense fascination for visitors today. Following the eruption of the Volcano Mount Vesuvius in the year 79 AD, Pompeii lay buried and forgotten for hundreds of years. The tour will show you something of the lifestyle of the ancient inhabitants of the Town, and you'll be astonished by the number of villas, shops and public buildings that archaeologist brought back to light. You will discover with your guide the shops, brothels, baths and villas of a once everyday town of the Roman Republic.
After visiting this site of world importance, it is off to enjoy yourself at a vineyard on the slopes of Mt Vesuvius, don't worry you will be forewarned of any eruption unlike the inhabitants of Pompeii, where you will get to enjoy a guided tour of the vineyard and experience the passion of the wines. Boasting unique characteristics from the sunburnt ground, fertilized with periodical lava flows, the wines have legendary origins. The story of wines like 'Lacryma Christi' are said to be written by the hand of nature at her most violent - but they taste great!
After exploring the vineyards on the "violent" slopes, relax over a delicious Mediterranean lunch served with wines of the region such as Falanghina the aforementioned Lacryma Christi, Aglianico and many other renowned varieties.
