Spend the day soaking up the beautiful views this island has to offer, as well as visiting a unique biscuit factory and enjoying lunch in a native lodge.
Your first stop will be the small island Ile Aux Aigrettes, which is a Nature Reserve anchored at about 800 meters off the south east coast of Mauritius, and is also little piece of a long lost, hidden paradise...The sparkling waters of its beautiful lagoon, the ruins of an old French limekiln and the dense green canopy of the island’s forest welcome you to this charming place.
Your next stop is Biscuiterie H. Rault, which is a family business situated in Mauritius, whose biscuits are truly unique. These biscuits, available in various flavours, are made following a traditional method, which has remained unchanged since its creation over 140 years ago.
Next up is lunch at the Nativ Lodge & Spa. The open air bar/restaurant has a space of 100 square meters and is located on the river La Chaux and garden. It allows you to enjoy the local cuisine peacefully and surrounded by nature.
Your last stop will be spent having free time to enjoy the Mahé Bour market at your leisure. Held every Monday in central Mahé Bour the market is set up near the waterfront. Silks, textiles and other products will be available. Time to start haggling! It's also the perfect place to try some of the local snacks – gâteaux piments, dhal puris, samousa and chilli bites.
