Zakopane and Tatry Mountains

Zakopane is a town in southern Poland, situated in Lesser Poland Province. The town, a place of Goral culture and informally known as "the winter capital of Poland," lies in the southern part of the Podhale region at the foot of the Tatra Mountains.

It is the most important Polish center of mountaineering and skiing and is visited annually by some three million tourists. It is also a city with numerous monuments of old wooden buildings built in an unique regional style.

During the tour, You will discover the marvelous landscape of the Tatry mountains, highlander’s folklore, wooden houses in Chocholow and local specialties. We will step by to the Tatra's Museum followed by a funicular ride up the Gubalowka Mt.

Includes: English speaking guide, ticket for the funicular to the Gubalowka Mt. and to the Tatra's museum, transportation by minibus.

Route: Krakow - Zakopane - Chocholow - Krakow.

Please note: Due to construction work taking place around Krakow, morning departures may be subject to delays in traffic. Work is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2018

Operates: Every Tuesday and Sunday. The tour will take place in small groups.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes.

Please Note:
It takes approximately 2 hours to travel from Krakow to Zakopane.
The ascent up Gubalowka Funicular takes around 10 minutes and you can spend as much time as you like at the top.
This tour is not suitable for people having problems with walking.
