Thailand's iconic capital city is a true feast for the sense, and infamous for its amazing nightlife. Aside from the pleasantly tacky bars of Soi Cowboy, the city has plenty of trendy cocktail bars and places to grab a drink in more elegant surroundings. Of course, the best place to kick off your evening is Sky Bar: the rooftop bar featured in The Hangover 2 movie.
Take advantage of Bangkok spiritual side with a visit to Wat Arun and Wat Pho temples. You can get to them using the Chao Phraya riverboat, or on a tuk-tuk from anywhere in the old town. Shopping in Bangkok is fantastic. You can easily get lost amongst the stalls at Chatuchak Weekend Market or in the quirky shops of MBK. There are plenty of high-end malls to explore too.
